AVOID AT ALL COSTS ! Still waiting for refund after almost three months!
Let’s talk about how Hamptons treated us during the lockdown. We were set to move into a flat in Blackheath as the covid19 pandemic lockdown began and were not allowed to move due to imposed regulations. My partner has asthma so we couldn’t risk her health or life to move into flat in London at the time due to government restrictions.
We told them the situation and after paying the first months rent and a 6 weeks deposit, total of £3650 approx, we had to cancel the lease and requested a full refund. They deducted several weeks from the rent refund though we NEVER received keys or moved in, and they have taken over 2 MONTHS to return the funds, which at this point was only the rent refund. We are STILL WAITING for the rest of our deposit back after 3 months now....
This company is absolutely vile for how they’ve treated us in light of the lockdown and pandemic and I cannot believe that while income and employment have been suspended, they’ve refused to return our funds in any sort of timely manner.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS! Deplorable.
