We were being evicted from a previous property due to landlords dad being taken ill and needing the property, we had been searching for a month and a half when we eventually found a property we could afford and could move in asap. We are a young family with 7 month old twins so goadsby knew we needed something urgently. When we viewed our property it was in a bit of a state, debris on lounge carpet, dirty bathroom and kitchen. The kitchen cupboards were full of the old tennants belongs, kettle, toaster etc, one cupboard was full of tools and tins of paint. It was a good size for us and we were assured that all of the little touches would be done and everything removed from the property. However when we moved in, there was more rubbish than before and on closer inspection we found tablets behing the toilet, our loft space had been nailed shut and the boiler cupboard filled with wires, blankets and other debris. Also found out that 4 of the 5 plugs in the kitchen do not work. By this time we have all our belongings in the flat including fridge freezer and washing machine. However, the fridge and washing machine that was originally here had not been removed. We received the keys 6 days ago now and all of these problems are still here, despite calls every hour to goadsby trying to get these issues resolved. Finally had contractor come yesterday to do some minor work- put a floor runner in and silver bit on edge of kitchen work top, had cleaners come today but rerfused to clean kitchen as they could not get into the kitchen due to our fridge freezer and washing machine being in the middle of the narrow kitchen so they cannot even get in to clean it. This leaves me nowhere to prepare food for my babies and goadsby seem to think this is ok! Absolutley disgusted! They are simply taking advantage of a young family in a vunerable position. They will not get away with treating us this way.
What agent could do to change your mind?
Made sure all issues were dealt with before giving us keys
