Extortionate fees, rude and unprofessional.
On initial interaction with Holden's I gave them a chance and actually reviewed Holden's 5 stars, but after dealing with specific agents, *I am left disappointed. I have paid 6 months rent upfront, as well as 6 weeks deposit and a hefty agent fee of £500 (that's over £8000 upfront), with all this in mind and moving in without an inventory, and a back to back move in which the agent * himself had told me, really I had been a pretty good tenant with very little demand and ask. I moved in and was happy until I began noticing a few problems within the property, the first thing was mold all around the property in every room, which I brought up with *, who by has been very inefficient in solving the issue, is hazardous to myself (I am asthmatic) and my children and newborn baby. It has taken over 3 months to even get the process going, even after numerous follow ups and even still no progress. I am very upset by the follow up of this since I have been a good tenant! Further more, I had a few other minor problems within the property and when raising them with *, his response was rude and unprofessional, and told me 'this is not a hotel service' and was terribly rude and speaking over me. Due to his lack of care and incompetence * left me without hot water for 7 days, and when a contractor was sent out to unblock my bathroom sink, the guy had a quick look at my tap and resolved the issue within half and hour, a job he wasn't even sent out to fix! and why did it take 7 days for * to just SEND someone out?? Later he emailed me about this very phone call and I have to say I was absolutely appalled at this mans grasp of the English language and grammar in his email, it was poor and yet again unprofessional. *has failed to follow through and really should be reviewed for his role in management. I will be following up with the council in regards to the mold as an environmental health hazard and contacting the community ombudsmen in regards to the poor treatment I have received.
