Most of our dealing in selling our flat were with William Maxted, although our initial involvement was with the Manager, Simon Moss, who was calm, professional and gave us the confidence that made us choose Lauristons over two other local agents. We were not disappointed!
Simon also intervened in the sales process when things were at an impasse - but he also continued to convince us that he, and Lauristons, were working for us and not trying to get a sale for the sake of it !
William Maxted was our day to day contact. We felt that William worked very hard for us and, despite the commonly accepted view that \'places sell themselves on the internet without an agent\', it was clear that William really did make regular calls to potential vendors and persude them to look at the details and visit the property. Basically he worked hard to introduce the property to prospective clients who may not have been looking exactly in the area where we were selling.
Apart from working hard for us, William has been excellent at keeping us informed of progress, in chasing solicitors and in trying to unplug blockages when they occured in the (legal) system. Selling a freehold property in a managed block, involved our solicitors collating information from the Management Company, solicitors for the freehold company and accountants for the freehold company. William was tenacious in the extreme - probably slightly annoying the various legal parties because he would not let potential delays from any of the parties prejudice the sale! He was on the ball when others were moving too slowly - and he managed to move things forward every time.
Overall therefore, we cannot recommend Lauristons highly enough and we were delighted to have used them for this sale. The \'Simon and William\' team was attentive and effective - and if you want a straightforward, polite, tenacious and harworking individual, then you should ask for William Maxted.
