WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS AGENCY TO MY WORST ENEMY. I can guarantee that no matter how nice the flat/house is you're viewing, it won't be worth the promised aggro this company will put you through your whole tenancy. We have had to contact Liverpool Student Homes multiple times throughout our tenancy because this agency is so awful. Would recommend using other agencies such as ADDRESS PROPERTIES instead or staying in halls.
The whole team at Accomod8 take the approach that all students are stupid and beneath them and resent any contact they have to have with students. Some of the many things they have done include verbally abusing us when we dared to ask when we could move in (screamed at down the phone saying we are delaying the process by calling), breaking down our door for no valid reason due to a faulty lock (which opened from the inside) and then charging us £60 for the damage - we were in at the time and if contacted could have let them in, and emailing us AND OUR PARENTS accusing us of bullying by locking a tenant out because one tenant's key failed to work in the lock, when in reality the locks in the property had been faulty which had been reported to Accomod8 earlier that week but never fixed.
Finally, without giving us 24 hours notice (they never actually do which is illegal), someone come in and turned our boiler off whilst we were out, and left a note saying "dangerous do not use". I rang the emergency line to be told "stop going on about it I can't do anything" and we were left without hot water for days. I contacted Accomod8 the next day and the manager, Jade, it felt deliberately arranged the appointment to be five days later because we had dared to complain. We were actually blamed for the faulty boiler because we "should have notified the agency when we seen the sign saying dangerous" - although the agency were the ones who put the sign up... Additionally we did also notify them, but this agency are never wrong. I took this further with a SOLICITOR as we really would have been left for a week without hot water with no remuneration, for Jade to suddenly notify me that the contractor was now conveniently available that same day to fix the boiler.
In all honesty it's like this agency gets a kick out of treating students awfully. DO NOT USE THEM - they are complete bullies and shouldn't be allowed to trade.
