We recently purchased a house via Connells at Bedford
The entire process from start to finish was a shambles
We dealt with a guy names Jack Goodacre ¢â‚¬â€œ well picture Jack as a very unorganised Jack the lad !
From the initial dealings of making offers on the house Jack dealt with us , our phone calls initially were returned as Jack was aware a potential purchase was about to take place , after things started to move and money was spent . The communication went to zero , emails were not replied to , phone calls were not returned . To the point that Jack was in the office but with a client , then you'd call 10 minutes later to be told he was on a visit and wouldn't be back in until the next morning . This happened on numerous occasions to my husband and myself and as far as I am concerned if you are left a message, you surely return the call
Once exchange was due ,we were transferred to a lady called Bridget , Bridget to my knowledge wasn't even based in the Bedford branch and dealt only with the final stages ¢â‚¬â€œ sadly trying to get hold of Bridget was like trying to get poop out of rocking horse
On the completion week Bridget was left with 4 urgent messages in the space of 3 days and Jack was left 3 sadly NONE we returned
I would also like to add on the day of completion we was told by Connells office at Bedford to collect the keys once our solicitor had confirmed completion , my husband set off ( some distance away from us ) to collect the keys at Bedford to be told the vendor had them , so a wasted journey !!
Once we arrived at OUR house the vendor had yet to move out, so we had a further 2 hours AWKWARD wait!!
Would I use Connells again? ¢â‚¬Â¦..NO never as the unprofessional , POOR communication and POOR organisation of Connells did NOT impress me nor my husband
