We are currently 4 students renting a property via homes4u in Withington. We moved in, in July, and had multiple issues with the property, including extensive damp in the attic room (so much so the ceiling fell through), bad drainage (including smell, and our shower not draining), they also said they would professionally clean the carpets (which was on our addendum) when we moved in, this was not done.

We regularly call Homes4U to chase up these issues, calling around 20 times each time we want to speak to them as apparently they are incapable of answering their phones, each time we seem to be speaking to someone else and explaining the same problem we\'ve explained 100 times before, just for them to tell us that they are unsure and they will contact us the next day... which never happens. When we go in to speak to them, none of the property managers are working, but just talking amongst themselves while the phones ring.
We have sent countless emails to multiple members of staff at Homes4U, including lists of things we need fixing, in full detail, as well as emails chasing up about these issues.

4 months later (now in October) these problems haven\'t been fixed. The Ceiling in the attic room is still damp and leaks water on to the bed when it rains, it is inhabitable, but as well as this issue not being rectified, apparently the tenant is not due any reimbursement of rent for the amount of time he has been unable to stay at the property.
The drainage has been \'fixed\' by a company they sent round, but the issue of the smell and the blocked drains still remains.

We are sick to the back teeth of these issues and dealing with all members of staff from Homes4U. Ben tells us he is \'very busy\', but doing what? all reviews seem to be the same, and if no ones properties are being fixed or taken care of then what is he so busy doing? This is his job, and should communicate all updates (or lack of) about the process of these things being fixed. We have all paid a £80 in agency fees, for them to take care of our well being and our property, we have paid this money for nothing. We take immense care of our property, as we want to live in a nice environment unlike most students, but sometimes it doesn\'t seem worth it if Homes4U are going to meet us half way and get their issues with out house fixed. There is not communication, no problem solving, they dodge issues and giving answers at all costs, and to be quite frank, we are seething, and will be making a complaint to head office.

I\'m sure \'Anne\' will reply to this telling me she is very sorry for this experience, and the company has been running for 21 years etc etc, but all this information is irrelevant. We are still experiencing these issues, so if you are sorry then you can do something about it (30a old moat lane). And if the company has been running 21 years and you are receive countless reviews like this then maybe you need to change something drastically because I will never rent with Homes4U again, and will not recommend any one to do so. Bad press travels twice as fast and far a good.
