This is posted on behalf of my daughter who is a former tenant of this Agency. She returned the keys to the Agents on 2nd May 2019, was told by the representative at that time and since that there were no issues so the whole deposit would be returned. She is still waiting, their excuse is that they need confirmation from the Landlord. My daughter is now incurring costs because of the lack of action on the Agents' part, the Landlord is apparently on holiday but the Landlord knew when my daughter was due to move out. I have worked in the Lettings sector myself and the deposit should have been returned by now. It is nearly a month. My daughter and son-in-law have contacted the Agents on numerous occasions, and today were told that the person they wanted to speak to was not there. They phoned Countrywide who I believe own the Agents who phoned the branch and spoke to the girl in question so it is clear that she is avoiding speaking to both my daughter and son-in-law. Do not rent through this Agent if you can avoid it. They don't follow up or return calls when they say they will. If I could have given less than one star review I certainly would have!!!
I myself tried to speak to them about this matter but despite having spoken to them before in connection with my daughter's tenancy (when they first moved in) they said that they were not permitted to speak to me.
