We were with this letting agent for 3 years.
The maintenance department were terrible, never called you back or kept a record of your calls or issues and never updated anything in the 3 year tenancy.
When it came time to move out, I spent 9 hours cleaning the place to their "professional standard". However, at the checkout appointment they still decided to charge for cleaning, which I reluctantly agreed to. They took 3 months to give me back my deposit and when they finally did they had CHARGED ME FOR ALL THE REPAIRS THEY DIDN\'T BOTHER TO FIX.
The checkout manager (KV) doesn\'t respond to any requests for a breakdown of charges or costs. They know that you\'re not going to take them to small claims court over your deposit so they just take it and ignore you until you go away!
What agent could do to change your mind?
Fix things in a timely manner, not charge me for reasonable wear and tear, be honest at the checkout appointment, Kevin Valentine in checkouts could respond to emails.
