This is my first time renting from an agent and it is the most exasperating experience of my life. Firstly, the property agent was absolutely rubbish in knowledge, not even remembering to take her keys when bringing us for views. She also subsequently made multiple mistakes in our tenancy agreement, and as we were overseas at the time, had to wast almost £100 calling them! Until this date, the tenancy agreement does not hold the right information and it\'s been about 2 months since it has been brought to light! They also make you cut your own keys if you have flatmates, but are not prompt or concerned about returning your money.
Property management is another useless piece of their puzzle. Management of a property counts for nothing as they need to go back to the landlord for every detail. How is this managing on the behalf of?! Broken dishwasher causing a flat to smell take more than 3 weeks to sort out because they dont bother to chase things up for you. I have had to send multiple emails to their property manager to get anything sorted.
Basically, it is the properties that seal the deal, but with such abhorrent service. I would be very tempted to never use Foxton\'s again. Also, note that they charge one of the highest admin fees for processing the deal. After signing the contract, you will definitely feel like you dont matter anymore.
