Absolute nightmare, why are they still in business? The government has a responsibility to landlords and tenants not to license companies that basically steal money.

I now have had to default on my mortgage as I cannot get my rightful income of rent for my apartment where the tenants are living and paying rent. Thanks government!

Comment on agent fees
This is a deposit holding scheme which is supposed to be impartial. If a tenant doesn't clean the property, then they should pay for it in full. Why should a landlord have to cover this cost so that the tenants have a clean property to move into? In Germany and other countries, it is clear you must leave a property clean. We rented in Germany, and were chastised for a pinhead speck of limescale on a tap, a smear on a window (which we'd cleaned), and a cobweb on the ceiling. Get a grip, Deposit Protection Service, and stop siding with slovenly tenants.

Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
