The agent behaved unprofessionally in the following ways, saying that this was normal practice to five student first-time tenants who had no reason to believe diffrently: showed a property that was not the one on the web information they were asked to sign a contract for; set a tenant registration fee of several hundred pounds in spite of not mentioning it at the viewing when asked about all the charges; did not reply to queries in emails; set a 2-year lease with no break clause and refused to negotiate; another part of LT claimed not to have received emailsed guarantor information that was sent to the same address that later did receive the same information; complained that the tenants had messed the agent about and that no complaint should be made because he had \'covered his back\'. Covering his back involves being agressive verbally and not committing himself in emails.
What agent could do to change your mind?
Behaved responsibly and helpfully to the tenants and their guarantors.
