Let's Do Business (LDB) were, quite frankly, abysmal in their dealings with me and my housemates. We moved into our house in July to find that it was filthy. It had not been professionally cleaned, the carpets, walls, bathrooms and kitchen were revolting. On top of that we soon discovered an infestation of mice in the kitchen about which we had not been informed. With no apology forthcoming we persuaded LDB to send round an exterminator. They installed glue traps meaning that we have been forced to kill the mice ourselves rather than listening to them starve to death.
LDB said that they would send round professional cleaners. They left a calling card without ringing the doorbell for access and never returned although we called them numerous times. We received an abrupt, rude and unhelpful phone call from LDB telling us that, as two months had passed, we were no longer entitled to this service. Throughout LDB have been exceptionally rude and unapologetic. We will neveruse them again and I would discourage others from using them. Their failure to apologise has been as consistent as their ineptitude.

I would like to respond to the points you have raised:
Firstly, LDB did not install any mousetraps in the property. We only instructed the Local Housing Authority's environmental health unit to conduct pest control, which they carried out according to their own prescribed formulae. Any complaints about their practices and procedures should be directed to the local council.
Secondly, as soon as we were informed that the professional cleaners had not completed their task to your satisfaction, an appointment was made for them to visit and rectify any outstanding problems. As you will recall, upon visiting the property at the arranged time, they found nobody home and despite many attempts to contact you to rearrange, they found you consistently unavailable on the telephone, and received no reply to their numerous voicemails. Our own office staff also made several attempts to contact you but were met with the same lack of response.
As you will appreciate, we are unable to admit contractors to your home without express permission apart from in an emergency. Of course, since you informed us that the original clean was unsatisfactory, we apologise for that (an apology which was also offered verbally at the time). However, I am sure you will agree that we tried our very best to accomodate you subsequently, and that without any co-operation or response from yourselves (prior to this review), we were unable to resolve your issues.
Since you only responded to our attempts to contact you after a delay of two months, the decision had to be taken that it was impossible to justify any further 'pre-tenancy cleaning', and therefore the matter was closed.
If you would like to discuss this or any other issue with me directly, please feel free to contact me either by telephone or email.
