Chris John was the letting agent for the flat I rented, and during the (almost) three years as a tenant, I always found them to be polite and professional. The end of tenancy hand over was handled quickly and I cannot fault their service.

Contrary to the comments above, we have not been reported to the Property Ombudsman by any landlord. Neither have we ever managed the gentleman's properties so the comments made are completely unwarranted. ...

The landlord proposed some deductions at the end of the tenancy. A meeting was proposed to discuss these but unfortunately the tenants refused to attend. Instead, a dispute was raised with the Tenancy Deposit Scheme. TDS's independent adjudicator made an award to the landlord of £155.00 from the deposit to cover cleaning including dealing with some mould which had arisen due to insufficient airing of the property. Unfortunately the tenants interpreted our correspondence (required at the end of the tenancy for clarification purposes) as accusatory. Infact, once some issues had been ironed out, the tenants received a full refund of their deposit. There were some problems with the behaviour of the tenant of an adjoining flat, who has since left by mutual agreement. ...
