Homeworld are simply inept. In our experience they do not maintain their properties, their staff are often rude, and they made up various erroneous reasons as to why our entire deposit was to be retained. I am shocked that a letting agent is allowed to operate in such a manner, as their service throughout our 2 year tenancy has been nothing short of ludicrous. I intend to take this company to court for breaking the landlord/tenant agreement of 1985.

Hi Mark, I’m sorry you felt this way following your tenancy in one of our managed properties. I hope I can explain some of your grievances and what Homeworld is doing to offer the unbeatable service we pride ourselves on. It goes without saying, we welcome feedback and will always endeavour to remedy any complaints and problems immediately.

Before our team can enter a property to carry out any maintenance and repairs, we are contractually obliged to obtain the landlord's permission. If a member of staff was rude to you, I apologise, this is unacceptable and does not align with Homeworlds service principles. Since 2012 a great deal of training has been implemented to ensure improvement in all areas including customer care.

Your deposit was protected with the TDS, the longest-serving government-approved deposit protection scheme. Any redaction in deposits needs to be proved using comparison photographs taken at the beginning and end of a tenancy period. If tenants are unhappy with any decisions made, they can approach the TDS. Please contact us if you would like to discuss anything further.
