This company caused us to go into arrears. YES, the company! They informed us that we were in credit on our acccount so didn't need to pay for the July 2018 rent payment of £750.00. We used that money to visit family in Kent for a weekend (we live in Cornwall). We then receive an arrears letter in August 2018!! Yep! they had made an almighty mistake in their accounts. After a great deal of very poor communication on their part and the monthly arrears letters, even one threatening court action. We had no option to raise a formal complaint.
We ended up having to accept a goodwill gesture of £150 and waive of the £35.00 arrears letters fee! Due to poor health, we couldn't fight on any further. Twenty years younger would have taken it all the way to the ombudsman. will never rent a property managed by this bunch again and have recommended our landlady change to a better agent or deal directly with us.
