We have rented out properties we own in London and Yorkshire for the past ten years. After a litany of disasters with agents, we tried OpenRent. Could not believe that it was a free service and then only £25 for a follow up. As Landlords we will never go back to agents. Our last experience with Felicity J Lord, we had a vacancy for two months - after three months of "marketing" two prospective tenants had viewed - and the lease only lasted three months.

With Openrent, the website is user friendly and easy to use. We had our own professional photos taken of our properties (the photos used by agents were dreadful with clutter in rooms). With Openrent, we had thirty responses within two weeks of which we showed the property to six parties and had four enthusiastic tenants ready to sign a lease. We selected the most appropriate after a face-to-face meeting - all very personal on both sides. They loved the property and we already have a great relationship.
Comment on agent fees
There are no fees with OpenRent - only a small charge to extend to RightMove or Zoopla

Openrent are fine for advertising but not for renting as they are very slow with references and passing on rent and it’s impossible to speak to them and a nightmare if you have international tenants ...
