They may have very swanky offices on Fleet Street, but once we'd handed over a hefty sum in agency fees and deposit, it became clear that Daniel Watney considers its tenants little more than minor inconveniences. If they reply to emails at all, they often take weeks, and on several occasions they were explicitly rude and sarcastic. They still haven't attended to minor repairs which we reported months ago. There was absolutely no sense of personal connection between tenant and agent. I've had previous estate agents who assign you a personal agent who knows all the tenants and the property and is your first point of call with any queries. Not the case here; most of the time I had no idea who I was meant to contact with a query, and often our emails got cc'd around the office a bit before landing with someone who might deign to help us.

Positives: the property was in beautiful condition; rent itself was good value; check in happened smoothly

If there is any way you can avoid using this company and endorsing their toxic ethos where tenants are treated like nobodies at best and irritating inconveniences most of the time, please do. They made it abundantly clear in their demeanour throughout our (short) tenancy that they care about little more than collecting our money and keeping the landlord happy.
