Selling a house can be difficult enough but when it is your deceased parent's residence, now empty and 100 miles distant, then that is a much harder prospect. My brother and I were lucky to make a great choice of local agent in Hunters Estate Agency, and put our sale in the capable hands of Ian Moore and his daughter Carrie.
From the beginning, the service was friendly, informative and thorough. We were kept up-to-date with every forthcoming viewing, offers made, and status of prospective purchasers, by email, and personally by phone conversation, the latter contact being very important for immediacy of news and to facilitate discussion and decisions.
The Hunters Team also kept a valuable eye on the property meaning that we did not need to travel to Leicester just for that ongoing purpose. When the property suffered a pipe burst in the loft and was flooded in February, neighbours alerted Hunters who were immediately on the scene with keys and helped to arrange a plumber forthwith to prevent further damage and then were able to recommend local tradesmen to effect repairs. Many times I have called on them for other jobs such as forwarding post etc. and all this service provided with professional efficiency and good humour. I imagine the many potential purchasers found Hunters the same courteous people to deal with from the other side of the fence.
I would not hesitate to use them again, nor would I ever be likely to consider selling my own property through an on-line agency, the services of which could not nearly measure-up.

Very disappointing service.
I viewed a property in October, offered to cover fees and deposit.
They wasted my time and gave the property to someone else without an explanation.
Unprofessional attitude from staff, very poor communication during each enquiry.
