I dealt extensively with Chloe Adams and Sue Henry-McMullen through a flat purchase.
Chloe was my main contact when looking for flats to buy in the East Dulwich region. She was professional and responsive - I was surprised by her flexibility for last minute viewings and changes to times. I felt that she listened carefully to my requirements and proactively picked properties in a thoughtful manner. It was also great to have a text message of congratulations from her within a few minutes of exchanging - a great touch.
Sue was the sales manager who helped me through the sales process. Again, Sue was fantastic in her responsiveness. She kept me in the loop as much as possible by e-mail and over the phone, and worked extremely hard to chase the vendor / vendor\'s solicitors on what what quite a tough sale. She stayed very professional and patient, even though I was demanding of her and the process was undoubtedly frustrating. Very impressed with Sue.
The staff of Ludlow Thompson were overall very good. However, the process by which Ludlow Thompson sells could be made faster by ensuring a few key steps in advance:
1. Strongly recommend that the buyer has a solicitor selected and a mortgage agreed in principle
2. Strongly recommend that the vendor has a solicitor selected and the contract pack already prepared prior to advertising the property
3. Ensure that all key information related to the property (e.g. exact terms of Freehold / Lease where possible) is as accurate as possible (with unknowns stated clearly) and immediately available to all sales staff
I understand that (1) and (2) above may make it more difficult to "secure" as many offers, but in the long run will ensure that sales progress faster and buyers/vendors are happier. (3) is an essential - there were some key errors in detail of the flat which caused a few small delays and potentially could have jeopardised the sale.
Overall a good experience with Ludlow Thompson. I\'d be happy to buy from or sell with them again. Thanks Chloe and Sue for your help.
