I am having problems with the repayment of the deposit and repayment of a number of days rent which overlapped with the next tenant. I left the property at the end of May 2012. I have contacted the agent a number of times and have received a number of different responses giving different reasons (including 'cash flow' problems) as to why the monies have not been repaid and with promises each time to make the payments 'later today' or 'on Friday'. There has been no attempt by the agent to make the situation clear - i.e. whether the deposit has been protected or not, or any attempt to inform up front if payments are not going to be made as promised. I have now contacted Birmingham City Council with a view to taking further action.
