Disappointingly we had a phone call from the agent on the day of the valuation to advise that there was no way they would be able to achieve our required sales value (based upon the amount we owed on mortgage) and therefore would not be coming to see us.
This was annoying as we had spent time preparing the house for them to come and value. They clearly operate on the basis that they can achieve a quick sale if they slash your property asking price and I\'m pretty sure that most agents could do this too.
