We bought a house that Movewithus were selling agents for (a life assurance company was the seller), and I definitely say avoid them if at all possible. We dealt via their local marketing agent (local estate agents) so cannot name individuals at Movewithus.
They had the property rewired before sale - and this expedient work not only left out many useful electrical connections (lights at front door & in attic, shaver socket, burglar alarm, power to shed, some corridor lights) and a mess of the walls from relocating power sockets (sometimes to silly locations), but their contractor (who happliy certified their own work!) managed to put a masonry drill bit through a gas pipe and left it with a hole!!!!
They also failed to drain the property effectively and now we are having to replace the boiler as the heat exchanger, valves etc were all damaged by freezing.
Our solicitor found the situation of Movewithus having independent Glasgow-based solicitors as well as local marketing agents prevented any meaningful discussion far less negotiation. And the local marketing agents here will never act for them again!
