Almost 2 weeks back I called to view a property that came onto the market that day. The branch would not let me view the property until 17th March, the open day. I made it clear I was ready to buy and would like to view it earlier, but was told that was simply not possible.
The day before the viewing I get the call telling me the viewing is cancelled as it's now sold to someone who had viewed it! I made it pretty clear I was not happy about this and would like to view and put in an offer. The guy made efforts to tell me they had lots of other properties in the area, untrue, and would put me at the top of their list, is that what happened with the buyer?
I said I would have offered blind if I thought this was going to happen, but was told they wouldn't accept an offer without a viewing. Catch 22!
The house was going to be my sons first and he had his heart set on it. Peter Alan have gone down massively in my estimation. I feel cheated and can't trust them.

Just had a similar experience. Review pending.
And after accepting an offer from someone else who had viewed the property after us (they said they would let us know when we could put an offer down) we had no updates until i kept ringing back.
Afterwards, they used the same ploy to say some property was going to come up possibly towards the end of next month. Apparently they wouldn't put it to market but would go directly to us. If it was in other circumstances we may have considered but it ...

Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
