This review us for the Poulton Le Fylde branch as they don't have a Facebook page. Funny that isn't it?!?!

If I could give them 0* I would. Accepted an offer on my MILs house 12 months ago by a buyer who was a cash buyer without a chain who apparently wanted it completed in 6 weeks. However turns out that Reed Rains either lied or were incompetent. Neither of which they'll admit to. They just keep telling me the buyer is on the system as chain-less and the person who put it on has left and the buyer must have told them he wasn't. The buyer who I'm in direct contact with swears blind he never said he had no chain. But even so surely there should be checks done.

We accepted the first offer on my house given the buyers position so have lost money there as we would have talked them up but given they were apparently not in a chain we valued that more than the extra money we could have potentially gotten.

We are now 12 months in and no sign of a completion date given loads of problems with the chain lower down my mortgage has gone up by £150 a month since October as my fixed rate ran out on my mortgage.
I am now also needing to cancel my family holiday which is absolutely gutting for my children as the money we expected many months ago is still nowhere in sight.

For 3 months straight in the past 12 months Reed Rains completely ignored me which I feel speaks loud volumes. I got in touch with the complaints department and the woman at complaints swore blind she was looking at the telephone records and I'd have telephone conversations with people on X Y and Z dates. I genuinely thought I was losing the plot forgetting telephone calls I'd had and considered going to the dr's. I requested the phone records 3 times. When I eventually got them they had no such calls on them. So even the complaints team will lie to cover it up. Notice a pattern?!

I brought these issues with the area manager as I'm really not happy to be paying them such an hefty bill given the level of service I've had. He advised that I'm not paying for a service level agreement and that the contract I have with them is that they simply get me a buyer. Clearly they'll get a sale by any means possible including telling blue faced lies to secure the sale. Even when I was looking to pull out months ago the branch manager kept on at me not to pull out as "it wasn't my buyers fault". I know it's Reed Rains fault. I'll accept the issues with the chain are not at RR door but ultimately I wouldn't of been in this position had I been told the situation before hand or I would at the very least be getting a few more £s from the sale to compensate for wasting the past 12 months of my life chasing solicitors and estate agents as RR refuse to help me. I have been offered 20% off my bill but quite frankly that is an insult. This situation is absolutely ruining my life. It's taking over ever minute of my day. I'm also selling our house but that's stalled and cannot move forward much given our money is tied up in this ridiculous chain I speak of above. My buyers are getting annoyed understandably so and the people we are buying from are also getting very twitchy. I know buying and selling a house is stressful but this has gone beyond that now. I'm this close (-) to a nervous breakdown with it all. I'm having to chase solicitors and estate agents even though they won't discuss it with me as I'm beyond desperate for it all to be over with now
Comment on agent fees
Double what I've been charged via The Square room who have much better service.

Yes still no response or final viewpoint. I have had to contact the Property Ombudsman thanks for absolutely no help at all
