Stayed with Belvoir for a 6 month tenancy, not sure we could handle anymore! Paid £120 moving in fee to have the flat cleaned, painted etc; however on moving in, we found wee on the toilet seat, none of the kitchen lights working, old food in the freezer, dirty bedding left, windows that didn't open (so no fire exit), the oven and hob neither worked. After several weeks of complaints they eventually sent someone to fix the windows, and lights, however the entire time we lived there we never had a fully working hob or oven despite paying £600 a month for the property.
We discovered a leak in the flat after a month, to which they sent out a maintenance man, not a plumber, who didn't inspect the pipes and instead accused us of knocking over a bucket of water and forgetting! They never sent a plumber to follow up the problem and when we moved out of the property we did the meter readings and had a £200 bill on water lost on the property.
On informing Belvoir of the bill, for which they are responsible, we got told it is far fault as we hadn't had the leak fixed, despite the fact they never sent out a professional plumber to fix it.
With the property we were given a car parking permit, however several months into letting the property the parking company changed hands, however I was not informed of this till I received a £90 fine for parking in my own space. When i called Belvoir to enquire why I hadn't received a pass they claimed no responsibility and told me it was my own fault for not realising the company had changed hands! I then had to spend several weeks appealing against the fine myself, despite it being solely Belvoirs fault.
On their website they state we'll do the work for you, however the only work they've actually done is accuse myself and my flatmate of lying!
They take no responsibility for any of the problems you face an do very little to help! Wouldn't recommend this company even to my worse enemy! Awful!
