We feel very let down by David Charles. After being model tenants, we feel we have been treated very poorly by them.

After a couple of weeks in the property there was a central heating leak in the loft. We called their "emergency" number only to be told that David Charles no longer had a contract with them and there was nothing they could do. Tried calling their other numbers and got no reply. Ended up in the loft stopping the leak myself in the middle night!

David Charles then tries to deduct the cost for a replacement lampshade and repair to ceiling caused by the leak from our deposit at the end of the tenancy! The cheek!

Also. we arrived at the check-out inventory appointment fifteen minutes before it was due and waited 45 minutes for their representative to show. We called their check-out agents (no reply) and their offices (no reply) to find out where they were. Ended up having to take the next day off work (at my own cost) so that I could attend.

Their agents told David Charles that they were at the property and David Charles chose to believe their subcontractor rather then their own client.

Very disappointing, so go elsewhere unless you like being treated poorly.

In my opinion, David Charles do not care about tenants as there are so many of us.
Fortunately, sites like allagents.co.uk gives us a chance to warn prospective customer.

You have been warned!
What agent could do to change your mind?
They should listen to their customers otherwise they will have many more that are dissatisfied. The only recourse badly treated tenants have is to post warning on review sites like these.
