DO NOT GO NEAR THESE USELESS COWBOYS!
We rented a property from Julie Twist for 18 months and found them to be completely inept throughout. They postponed our move in date because they misplaced our referencing forms, and later found them on someone's desk.
They had lost their set of keys for the property, and asked us to have get get a copy made from our sets. We were later advised by a locksmith that we would need written permission from the Landlord. Julie Twist told us not to do this, as they didn't want the Landlord knowing they had no access to the property. We later went into the office to discuss the issue and were told that they did have a set of keys for the property and not to worry.
They then arranged a contractor to come to the flat, but he couldn't get in because he had no keys! Every subsequent quarter they would send someone to inspect the property, and then send us a text message saying that they couldn't get in. They failed to inspect the property for a year, until we called them to arrange a time when we would be in.
Whenever we called to speak to our Property Manager (every month or so) we were told that they had left and been replaced by someone else. When we called into the office we were fobbed off. We had issues with the dishwasher, and it took them six months to send a contractor to fix it. The guy just took it away for three days and brought it back in the same condition. We called the agency back and they fobbed us off.
At the end of the tenancy we dropped the keys off at their office and signed the necessary forms. The next day they sent us threatening text messages demanding the keys back and advised us of the charges for failing to do so. We got no apology for this.
They then tried to charge us for cleaning, when we moved out (on top of the mandatory £100 paid at the beginning of the term). We disputed this and they later dropped the charges. They were rude, inept, lazy and unprofessional throughout the 18 months. They were terrible to us, as tenants, and to the Landlord, who was blissfully unaware that they had no access to the property and only inspected it twice in 18 months.
