After reading some of the reviews on here I am very surprised. I have rented from them for four years, I have found them fine, yes there are things that aren't brilliant, but before anyone has ago at Ian Peat for repairs, they have to get permission from the landlord, Ian Peat are only the sitters of the property. when ever I have had maintainance problems they have had some one out within a couple of days. I have gone through both redundancy and bereavement, while here and as long as you have a clear line of communication with them and keep it running I have always found them very helpful. People have commented about being evicted, I was made redundant and couldn't pay my rent, I wasn't served with an notice, in fact the opposite, they were a great help keeping the landlord informed of what was going on. When a close family member passed away, I asked to be reminded if I forgot to pay, 18 months later I still gett a polite e-mail telling me the date is coming up.
I agree they do have one member of staff who is rude, aloof and arrogant, but I have just refused to let her do my house checks, they sent a lovely lady last time who couldn't have been friendlier if she wanted too.
I have heard bad reports on the other letting agents as well, so they may not be perfect, but there not as bad as being written on here.
