I don't have anything good to say about StreetsAhead. I rented a house in Croyden. I was after an apartment but was swayed by the assurance by StreetsAhead that a Grass gutter (mower) was provided by the owner to do the back yard maintenance. On arrival no mower. This was raised in the site condition report/inspection and to the letting officer from StreetsAhead. The mower (confirmed in writing) was being followed up by StreetsAhead who stated the the owner was looking for it.
I rasied it with George Potter. In what I see as typical fashion in these feedback comments_ he did nothing, just refereedBeen honest and acted professionally. me to Amir Ghomsheis team. I met with Amir, once, covered this and a variety of issues ie site report (took 6 months) , windows not working (never fixed), shower rail collapsing (no action) and of
course the mower. Given all the emails, he assured me he would get back to me (never did). To cut a long painful story short, on vacating the site, the landlord wanted 60 pounds for the for the grass cutting. Amir said it would be easier for me to pay it. No suggestion of appeal, no intervention by StreetsAhead.
Had I not raised the issue with Gary O'Hare I would be out 60 pounds. The Landlord got his 60 pounds paid by Streetsahead. So - the conclusion is - either StreetsAhead promised a mower that didn't exist - just to get the sale - then covered it up at George Potters level and Amir Ghomsheis level, or - they just sided with the Landlord. I think they covered it up. Stay away from these amateurs. Better to be homeless.
Comment on agent fees
Agents fees are a joke, They use other leases as a "template" with errors relating to other leases. When I raised this they told me that you only read the first part, not the back part. These amateurs have no understanding of contract law
