Throughout my tenancy, I was looking to writing a great review. When it comes to pre-tennancy and during tenancy service, 1 Stop is perhaps the best agent in Glasgow.... but note that qualification - we'll get back to that.
When I first identified the property they were more than happy to show it at times that suited me, including early evening rather than the set times some other agents do.
I had some rather unique circumstances leading up to my tennancy... after a move in date was agreed a disaster meant I had to speed this up... 1 Stop actually saw this in the news, contacted me, and offered to bring this forward. This surprised me immensely, and seemed a good omen for the tenancy.
During the tenancy requests to deal with issues were usually quite quick (with a handful of minor exceptions), although calling Willie on the emergency line always resulted in getting a very helpful response. Requests to change inspection dates were usually accepted, and were happy to skip the bedroom when my girlfriend was recovering from night shift.
So with all of this, you're probably wondering why only 3 stars? Well, its all about how you finish. I wont regale you with disputes about the state of the property - needless to say we had some. Some of their concerns were legitimate, some frankly ridiculous (like demanding fees to clean items that were in a similar state to check in). We did however come to a quick settlement.
However, what I can't get out of my craw is the demand for a £25 "Exit referral" for my next agent. WTF? I've never encountered another agent who demands such a fee (and no, its not publicised anywhere on their website, tenant handbook, etc)... compounding its inappropriateness is no doubt they were asking other agents for rental references before agreeing to let me the property. I was recommending them right up until they hit me with that.
If you're a property owner, they'll look after your property... But if you're a tenant expect to be nickel and dimed on the way out. Make sure you save a copy of the photos they take prior to your check-in and scrutinise them carefully.

We are disappointed to have received your review. You are correct. Nationality should be, and is irrelevant in regards to letting a property via our agency.
We do have a tried and tested application process, and recognise that our referencing criteria is strict. However we have tenants (and Landlords) of countless nationalities, and wholly object to your accusation of prejudice. ...

I am a director at 1 Stop Properties and I would like to respond to Mr Savage's one sided review.
When Mr Savage moved in to the property on 09.06.2014 the flat was in a good and clean condition as was evidenced by the detailed inventory report (along with 112 photographs of the flat condition at move-in) which he received at the time. Mr Savage accepted this report.

Before you consider this review you should be aware of some facts.
The tenant left the flat in a most unacceptable state of cleanliness when he left. The flat needed painted, a thorough and deep clean and the blinds were so filthy that they required replacing. The flat was in a very good and clean condition when the tenant moved in.
We do not hold the tenant’s deposit. It is held by a Scottish Government approved Tenancy Deposit Scheme.
