I am utterly disgusted with this company (thats if they can call themselves one). We are renting a property from them and the tenancy runs out 29th july 2012 i have now had a email from my friend asking us why we are moving!!! she sent me the link so i could see and low and behold YES its been put back up for rent without any letters sent to us telling us, now i no its coming to the end of our tenancy but NOT ONCE have choices been intouch with us asking if we wanted to carry on with the tenancy and have just put it back up on a site. We payed 12 months rent upfront which was our decision we have looked after the property actually it is in better condition now then it was when we moved in ie: we have painted decorated put lighting up also planted in the garden to make it look nice all with the landlords permission. Low and behold 4 days after it being put up on the site for rental again we have a letter oh NOT TO ASK IF WE WANTE TO CARRY ON WITH THE RENTAL but saying the tenancy ends the end of july 2012 and also another letter with a section 21 on it saying we have to be out by the end of July, im disgusted at the way this has been handeled i have rang and rang the Sutton branch but to no avail i want to know why we have not been offered the opportunity to to carry on renting and i want to know why its been put on the rental market without us even knowing AND i would like to know WY we have got this section 21 when all we have done is look after the place since we have got here. NOW WE HAVE GOT TO START LOOKING FOR ANOTHER PROPERTY TO RENT AND MOVE before the end of july 202 and my partner is due to go into hospital for a operation on 19th July 2012 and will not be able to lift anything, im not happy with the way we have been treated by choices and most cerainly WILL NOT EVER use this sham of a company again.
What agent could do to change your mind?

I apologise that you feel this way regarding Choices services. Our customer services department sent you a letter with the section 21 notice on 10th of May. That letter included the following on information.

“** ** ***** ******** ****** ******* ******* we have served a Section 21 Notice on you for the end of your Tenancy Agreements fixed period. If you intend to vacate at the end of that period you need take no further action, other than under the terms of your Tenancy. It would be helpful if you would call the Inventories office on 01737 783568 to arrange an out check.

However if you wish to renew the Tenancy then you need to contact us. You will need to ******* ***** ****** ******** ****** ***** *** ******* ****** ******* ***** ****** **** to be able to renew the Tenancy. We enclose a Section 21 Notice to vacate the property at the end of the fixed period expiring on ******** which issued as a matter of course. This Notice will stand until we are satisfied with the arrangements and a new Tenancy Agreement drawn up.

“All issues mentioned are subject to contract and to the Landlord’s consent.”

As the letter highlights, the opportunity of renewing the contract was subject to certain terms that you would have had to adhere to. I personally spoke with your partner at the time, as we had not heard back from you with your intentions.

Just a little add on its is MONDAY 18TH JUNE 2012 the afternoon of the day i put the complaint on here and we have just had a phone call asking us if we want to carry on with the tenancy this is a JOKE no we certainly dont!!!!!!
