I've been buying properties in the last 5 years and I've never come across such an incompetent member of staff... First of all, I arranged a viewing of City Heights via Rightmove. I had no response so I tried 3 more times... I eventually received an email from *them to say she's the only person who can show me the property. Thus, I emailed back to arrange a date... Once again, no response so I called her. She picked up and we arranged the viewing for 10am on Monday 21st. She said she would send me the confirmation via text... I received nothing after 2 hours so I called back for her to say her phone isn't working... Fine, so I took the address down on the phone.

So on Monday 21st, I was waiting outside City heights at 10am but there was no sign of her. I called the office but she said she didn't have the appointment in her diary... WHAT?!! I was very calm and rearranged another appointment for Saturday 26th at 10am... I didn't receive a confirmation text this second time round and was very paranoid after this so I called back to say I still didn't receive anything... She said I didn't need a confirmation as she made sure she had put it in her diary this time... Fine...

Saturday 26th at 10am - I was waiting outside City heights again and guess what... No show from them* again! I called the office but nobody picked up. I called her mobile but the number did not exist... they are* extremely unprofessional and didn't even have the manners to call or email me to let me know she couldn't make it for whatever reason. I was waiting outside for half an hour!

I was fuming after this experience - I will strongly advise everyone to stay away from Findlays because of this.

Your review is puerile, hurtful and inaccurate. You fail to mention the Covid shaped Elephant in the room. Once the Lockdown started it became impossible to manage your high expectations for a small studio Council Flat which doesn’t even have an oven or demised outside space. We contacted you several times to advise you that the market conditions had changed and urged you to reduce your asking price. Despite the difficult market conditions and your obstinance in the face of Covid w ...

I was a tenant of Findlay for the past three years. They were very responsive and helpful whenever we had issues with our flat. Nice people, firm but fair. I'd happily rent form them again....

After a few polite but typically ruthless agents walked through our door we felt uneasy about their high charges, (including a sum to even draw up a tenancy agreement), and wondered about letting our property myself, but honestly who wants the bother. We stumbled across ...

I rented a lovely property from Findlay but received an appalling unprofessional service. The highlight of this for the information of any prospective tenants included: entering the property without notice, agents handling personal possessions, abusive phone messages, marketing of the property during the tenancy 'to ...

It’s not unheard of for there to be misunderstandings in the process of managing tenancies, but we generally succeed in finding tenants we can work with. In this case, things became somewhat confused when the owner dealt directly with the tenants, leading on the one hand to unrealistic tenant expectations, and on the other to a somewhat oppositional relationship with us: it was as if their relationship with the owner took precedence over clear, repeated and unambiguous instructions to ...
