Broughton were appalling and I would not recommend them to anyone. As other reviews have said no matter how nice the property don\'t go with Broughton!
My wife and I rented through them for 3 years and our main complaint is around maintanence. The staff member responsible for that area consistently failed to do things when he said he would and we suffered long unneccesary delays in important repairs, for example to the shower, the central heating, the cooker, and the washing machine. However, we can say that at least the service was consistent and serious and more trivial repairs suffered the same way. For example on the one hand we were without a shower for almost 2 months and on the other it took around 2 months to arrange to cut a tree in the garden.
The second complaint is around the deposit. Despite us noting that the property was unclean and the garden overgrown when we started the tenancy BPM are attempting to retain some of the deposit due to a supposed lack of cleanliness and slightly long grass. We moved out over three weeks ago and still the \'works\' required before the remainder of the deposit can be returned have not been carried out. Furthermore we know that in the intervening time the property has been redecorated including painting and new carpets! I look forward to hearing how Broughton are going to explain how any cleaning carried out now can be said to address the issues from our tenancy rather than disruption caused by the passing of time and the decorating works. Broughton provided a cleaning schedule where various minor points were noted but we have had no further information about what is going to be done or when. It is impossible to quantify any \'works\' from the schedule so it is completely unclear what we are going to be charged for.
In conclusion: AVOID BROUGHTON PROPERTY MANAGEMENT
