After months of job hunting after university, I finally received the great news that I had got a job in London. This joy soon turned to stress when I realised I only had 2 weeks to find a place to live in London and move down from the dark depth of Wales where I am originally from.
After a couple of solid days trawling through Spareroom.com, I came across this small single room in the Wimbledon area which was in a great location for me and excellent rent with all bills included so I got in contact with Ace Relocations (AR) who were very quick to respond. They offered a viewing to me but I took a risk by not viewing the property because of the distance I'd have to travel for 30 minutes' worth of a viewing! However, AR's service was excellent and Greg (who I dealt with originally) provided me with all the information, additional images that I asked for and was understanding of my situation. I decided to gamble and go ahead with it. All the paperwork was completed electronically which was ideal for me and this process was very smooth. There was a admin fee but I felt this was reasonable as AR were very efficient in sending across the paperwork and getting the house sorted for me.
Moving day came, after a long drive, nobody was there to greet me and I was later told by Greg that he was unable to make it which I must admit did begin to make me have some concerns and felt this was a little unprofessional. Luckily, a housemate was in to let us in. The house was nice and I was pleased with my decision. However, my room was not completely empty and it had an old tenant bedding still in it and used cutlery under the bed (I hope they didn't get their full deposit back!). Not a great start, but once I'd cleaned and moved in I was happy with the room.
Thankfully, the first day was the only real issue that I have ever had with AR hence why I have maintained the 5 stars. From that point forward I enjoyed virtually hassle-free living for the past two years. They have provided excellent service throughout my tenancy and have been quick to solve any issues (not that there has been many!). I have found Tony very helpful to deal with and he has been quick to get any problems resolved. Tom and Jessica have also been helpful and informative whenever I have had any questions.
One minor bit of constructive comment I would give would be to try to match up housemates a little better. We had a young laid-back but professional household but then just before Christmas an older couple have moved in and we have found them very intense and don't fit the personality of the house. However, understand that AR need to fill their vacant rooms.
I am moving out in a month's time, so I am to go through the deposit back, but if this process is as efficient as the rest of the service, I have no doubts that this will be stress free and efficient! I will leave a comment once this is complete.
Overall, I have thoroughly enjoyed my tenancy with AR and would recommend them to anyone who is looking for a place in London!
