I have been renting my houses with SJ Property Services since my first year at Uni and while I haven't experienced any other letting agencies in Brighton, I can honestly say that SJ are one of the best in my opinion.
Before even starting Uni in first year, Alex and Simon had agreed to do two viewings for the same house, for us in a day even though it was Pride weekend and Brighton was super crazy! My house mates and I have since moved into a new house for second- and third year and it is honestly the nicest student house I have ever been in - it actually feels like a home.
I have heard horror stories about incompetent members of staff, problems in houses that haven't been rectified and financial rip-offs that my friends have experienced with other agencies (most of them have now changed to SJ for their final year, BTW) and my house mates and I have not a bad thing to say about the members of staff at SJ. Not only is their maintenance team super quick to respond to maintenance problems, their team truly cares about the well-being of their tenants and makes sure to find a solution to every problem. If I could I would rent my post-grad house/flat with SJ as well.
Thank you Simon, Steve, Alex, Ryan, Lily and Shauni - on behalf of the girls at 3Cor, you have made our student house letting experience enjoyable.

Terribly slow when responding to emails. Very disorganised within as well, you speak to one person and then next day she is gone, you have to speak to another person and explain the situation all over again. Simple disappointing service... recommend to look elsewhere....

Would be good if the agency actually notify tenants when mantinance are due to turn up. Maintenance actually turn up when booked. Have working fire extinguishers. Not leave rubbish in the doorways. Not have a leaky dining room. Bathroom painted in non-water proof paint. Plus many more issues ...

The fees have been very reasonable. Not the absolute lowest in Brighton, but cheaper agencies seem to have poor service.

Agent fees are cheaper compared to other agents that i have used in Brighton. They always are upfront about any costs and they are try and minimize costs where possible.
