The property was filthy upon move in and smelt strongly of stale cigarette smoke, the rooms were mouldy, items were left behind by precious tenants and the boiler didn't work. After showering the first night I walked barefoot to the kitchen only for my feet to then be black from how filthy the floors were. The bathroom door had not been replaced despite being bent from someone clearly trying to kick it down, the gardens were hugely overgrown and the window handles were broken, as well as the house being poorly insulated. The rent was far too expensive especially considering the state of the house and a professional clean was not provided as it should have been until approximately 3 weeks after move in, at which point it was difficult to do because of our things being in the house. They also changed the payment reference partway through the tenancy due to the house changing hands, and did not inform us, after which they claimed we owed them rent of approximately £4,000. They also refused to take responsibility or provide help with any issues we had with the house including a potentially deadly boiler that when switched on could leak carbon monoxide according to the engineer. DO NOT RENT FROM YOURMOVE. They are the worst company I have EVER rented from, and despite their own mistakes managing their accounts, rather than checking we had actually paid rent they decided to threaten us instead, despite having paid it.

Hi this is interesting - as a long suffering YM landlord to see the other side. When I had direct contact with my tenants they told me how YM slagged me off to them - they knew it was all lies as we were in regular contact and the tenancy went well (I still miss them! best tenants ever!). But subsequent tenants failed to air the property and it became mouldy - I bought them a dehumidifier which they did not use - because I got a contractor in who told me it was their washing and no windows ope ...
