Terrible, no idea about how to manage a sale! Had an offer accepted and a verbal confirmation by Hunters....'saying there would be no more bids on the property ¢â‚¬â€œ its yours'!!. Then in 30mins I had a call saying there had been a better (Higher) offer accepted and I would need to bid higher. Total miss management and even after offering the asking price, we were advised that we needed to offer best bids by a certain time. The moral principal of giving the asking price, having been messed about still didn't make them work for the buyer who overall has been treated badly.
Be careful when dealing with hunters as your offer, even if accepted verbally, isn't worth anything and they are TOTALLY on the side of the seller! Management of customers is very poor, with staff actually slagging each other off and suggesting lack of competency for internal failures!!
Buyers are warned!!
What agent could do to change your mind?
Be transparent and consistent during the bidding process Work hard for the buyer to obtain a reasonable price - not just the seller Maintain Hunter company policies during the bidding process, rather than agreeing to random bids. Dealing with compliants better - offering customers to speak with management, without being prompted General improvement in competency of staff
