I had to write a formal complaint and this says it all:
I would like to lodge a formal complaint regarding your colleague Alice.
I am absolutely disgusted the way your staff speak to customers in such a manner when in fact they were in the wrong.
Firstly I contacted your offices regarding renting, I booked in to see a property and on the day of the viewing (Saturday 24th june) I was Called firstly to rearrange the appointment to 4pm I said that's not a problem I believe I spoke to Lauren but not 100% sure then I get a second call to say that we may not be able to be fitted in and then a third call that the viewing time had to be changed as the staff could not go out of the office which was fine and we agreed that 4.10 after your closing time was agreed.
It wasn't until I spoke to Alice that I become extremely agitated as she called and spoke with a very aggressive tone saying that she would not show me the property because I had a dog, before I could explain that I had told another agent that I have my brothers dog once a year for a week she said I won't show the property because you are unsuitable and I simply replied in an agitated manner what does that matter because I have already rearranged twice and I was told that I was being rude.
She then repeated well I'm telling you your unsuitable for the property because you have a dog. I then asked her in a stern but not rude manner at all to take me off the books because I wasn't happy with the way I was being spoken to.
By my complete an utter surprise Alice proceeded to almost shout down the phone, don't need to worry I have already removed your details from our books, thank you for being very rude and we don't need custom like you and slammed the phone down on me to the point I could here it.
I have never as a customer been spoken to like this in my life, I also work for a customer facing role and I can certainly tell you that if I ever spoke to a customer like that I would be getting the sack straight away! Even if a customer is raising their voice at me (which I never did) I would still try to resolve the situation.
I called back to ask which company I had been speaking to as I had spoken to a lot for looking to rent and Alice answered the phone again and said what do you want I asked who I was speaking to and what company this was she replied as I already told you crownstobe Estates and I'm Alice I then proceeded to inform her that I was making a complaint and she once again said go for it and put the phone down .
I believe this was an excuse to not show me the property after 4 as this was the office closing time, but if this is the attitude you have with customers when you had proceeded to make mistakes not myself then I am surprised you make any sales or rents.
I wait your reply an apology from Alice at the very least would be satisfactory.
I will write a review on the service in due course.
