I have now been waiting over 3 weeks for the return of my deposit so have had to raise a dispute with TDS. In the begining everything went well they were a little slow in dealing with things but overall not bad, if a little expensive. Their tenancy agreements are geared towards protecting the landlord, but that wasnt an issue as ive never been a problem tenant, however please watch out for the hidden costs that arent explained when you sign up.
Ending a tenancy is a different story, emails are continuously ignored along with phonecalls, staff speak to you like your beneath them and trying to get your deposit back is a nightmare.
I am a working professional, that always paid rent on time and had no issues during the tenancy then I handed in my notice and the problems began. I meticulously cleaned every inch of the apartment, yet when it came to checkout (btw which costs £60) I was told to redo skirting boards, the window frames, lightswitches, doors replace shower curtain etc etc. All works were carried out then the landlord comes along and says not good enough so here I am 3 weeks later still fighting to get nearly £1000 of my money back.
Melvyn Danes provide absolutley no support to their tenants with their unscrupulous landlords once they have their money, so if your looking to rent a property avoid at all costs.

Expensive comared to locals, I previously used Searchers nearby and they were excellent

Again more variations of the truth from your company. If you check your records I vacated the property on the 19th May the tenancy ended on the 31st when the keys were returned. I can provide email evidence to the before mentioned if you require. The deposit was returned on the 21st June and only after I was forced to raise a dispute with the TDS and several emails to your company. I would also like to point out that no extra days were given the keys were returned to your offices at 6pm on the 31st after agreement during checkout which I'm sure your cctv can verify and since I was paid up until and including the 31st this was in line with my contract.
