FirstPort are absolutely awful. Huge monthly fees to do virtually nothing, expect possibly mop a floor every 2 weeks. When I moved in, there were external walls literally falling down, leaks in roof, fascia having dropped off the front of the building. When you ring the company, you might get to speak to someone and they can seem helpful, but absolutely nothing happens! I have records of many phone calls and what was promised, then months later doing the whole thing over again. Now we have major works and are being charged thousands, for work that hasn't even started. FirstPort are attempting to take the payment (for nearly £3000!) out of our monthly direct debits, as a single payment! I have rung the company repeatedly to discuss this, and phone not even answered. When I first moved in, they (for months) failed to send me direct debit forms for the service charge, so I paid it by standing order instead. although I was up to date with all payments, they sent repeated threatening letters, put charges on my account, and still didn't send the direct debit forms. Shambolic, awful, company in every respect, they don't look after the property at all, they just take money. Not sure how it can be legal.
