UNPROFESSIONAL SERVICE AND INCORRECT ADVICE provided by Elia Magar, Letting Agent Negotiator at King & Chasemore Brighton Branch- 52 Nolfork Square. We have applied for renting a property at 67 Kingsmere in Preston Park through this Letting Agent. Before paying the holding deposit, we have asked the Letting Negotiator in several e-mails if my husband's second income included in a payslips could be taken into consideration for referencing process. We have his confirmation in written saying both incomes could be taken into consideration for the referencing process.We have also contacted directly their reference company Letting Hub, and they have also confirmed over the phone (we have phone recordings sent by the reference company now) in which they confirmed, his tips/service charge are taken into consideration. To our massive surprise, the results came from the reference process saying we needed a UK guarantor because my husband second's income is not taken into consideration for referencing. Why the letting Agent Negotiator didn't say that from the moment we asked, before we paid the holding deposit so we wouldn't waste our time and money.??? As we trusted their advice given, we paid holding deposit and gave notice in our place, which has been rented now. We have a toddler and we are currently without a place to live only because of the incorrect advice from Elia Magar, Letting Agent Negotiator from Brighton branch. We were required to provide a UK guarantor in 24 hours, which was extremely stressful for us as we both were working full day on both days. We found one within their rigid deadline, when they haven't even asked the landlord if they would accept us with a guarantor.!!!!!! Information to the landlord was manipulated as the Agent didn't want to show was their fault, as we have provided the correct information about our incomes from the beginning of the process. As a result of this unprofessional service and incorrect information provided by the Letting Agent, the Landlord didn't want to take us (decision we respect), which was about three weeks after we started the process to rent this property. And now, we are homeless with a two years old daughter, only because the Letting Agent Negotiator provided the incorrect information from the beginning. Things would be different if from the very first moment when we asked about the requirements for the reference process, we would have been provided with the correct information!!!! VERY UNPROFESSIONAL SERVICE!!
