Terrible. Don't trust the reviews above, please, I'd bet my right hand that they are from people working for this agency. The only good thing about this agency is that they have a lot of rooms in many parts of London. Everything else is terrible!! Don't trust them!
The first time I rented a room with them, after I made the payment for the rent and the agency fees, they assured me that they had checked the flat the previous day, and that everything was in order for me to move in on a Saturday. But when I did, there was no electricity, gas or hot water working in the flat.
I was in shocked, obviously, but when I called them to complain, they told me they were closing and couldn't do anything for me until Monday. I had to spend the weekend in a hotel.
On Monday, I demanded either a full refund of my money, or that they move me to another property (with light and gas working!), which okay, they did it for free.
They moved me to another flat in the same area, all bills included this time, and only a little bit more expensive. So I was quite happy and willing to forgive my terrible first experience.
However after one week living in this property, the electricity and gas stopped working! It took them from Saturday to Wednesday to solve it the issue. And worse yet, but I swear it's the truth, after another week, the gas and the hot water stopped working once more time!
What kind of joke is this?
The worst thing is that my flatmates, who until two months ago they were with another agency, assured me that none of this had happened before.
The problem is Red-Wood Agency. You send them email, and they ignore you; you call them, and they lie to you. Terible, terrible!
I think they do it on porpuse. They rent horrible flats so that you are forced to leave before your contract is up, and then, they can keep all the money you gave them. T
This happened in the first flat they rented me, the guy who was there before me had an emergency and had to leave before his contract was up. (They actually rented me the room although the guy had payed for the whole month and the month wasn't up yet).
They are scammers, so if you can, avoid them at all cost!
