Avoid this place at all costs for buying and selling. Ian I believe is the branch manager over values to get the business then after weeks of hardly any viewings will tell you your property is too expensive! errr didn't you just value it ? Then when you are buying a property from them he will harass you the very same week and threaten to put the house back on the market if you do not hurry up and furnish him with all your solicitors details etc etc and so on He is rude beyond belief. He puts the S into STRESS. Myself and others have found him PUSHY. ARROGANT, DECEPTIVE, RUDE. As said I would never recommend this place to anyone.

I started estate agency in 1987, having worked for Simpson and Partners since 1998, I have progressed to Area Manager. Since opening our first office, we now have a network of 10 offices. I currently work in the Burton Latimer office, which opened in 2001. We have been consistently the number one selling agent in Burton Latimer for now nearly 17 years. The fact is we have nearly 50% of the sales agreed in the town. The market in our area is very buoyant and also very competitive, with a shortage of property coming to the market coupled with a high demand for all types of property.

As an example, we recently listed a property offers in excess of 180,000 we have now agreed a price of 195,000 this is due to the lack of property coming to the market, no other reason. We are currently in a rising market - this is being pushed higher by the shortage of property coming to the market.

We are employed/instructed by our vendors to get them the best possible price for their property and ensure that the sale proceeds as quick as possible to an exchange of contracts. We can only class a sale as a sale, when we have solicitors from both vendor and purchaser (thus allowing us to send a sales memorandum to all parties concerned) furthermore, the buyer must show proof of funds (deposit) and ID, speak to our financial advisor to confirm they can purchase the property. Alternatively the buyer will have to provide an agreement in principle from their lender to confirm their ability to purchase the property.

Buying and selling houses can be very stressful; our job as estate agents is to make this process as smooth as possible. I would welcome the opportunity to discuss our services with anyone who is looking to buy or sell a property in our area.

I have dealt with many estate agents, both, buying / selling & as rental agents, over the years, but I have to say my experience with Simpson's has been 100% positive. They are professional, polite, and honest, very rare these days in the estate agent world....
