Disorganised, uncommunicative, and they have high fees.
We rented a 3-bed furnished house from from Country Properties in mid-2016, and were not happy with the experience. After confirming that we would move into a property, they tried to charge us a £210 inventory fee which had not been previously mentioned (when this was raised, they dropped the fee). The property was initially unfurnished, and we were invited to choose roughly the furniture to go in it; there were some disagreements about what constitutes ‘furnished', although in the end this was resolved to our satisfaction.
When we found that the oven did not work, they failed to replace it in a timely manner, and ended up removing the old oven (and its working hobs) several days before the new one arrived. This left us unable to cook as normal. Throughout this they were uncommunicative about the state of the replacement and the situation causing the delays. Had they been more communicative, we would have been less unhappy.
Overall, they are not especially responsive to e-mail, and it sometimes takes several rephrasings of a question to get an answer from them.
On leaving the property, they deducted £50 from the deposit for touching up a wall, which I think is reasonable.
