Avoid this letting agent at all costs to protect your information security & bank details!
My Partner and I rented a property with agent approx 4 months ago, and despite reading the terrible reviews we went ahead as we needed to move. Everything went smoothly, everything apart from their customer service was slightly lacking (no calls back when they said they would & no updates to progress of application).
3 months in to renting the property I received a call from one of their agents saying my landlady had not received any rent for the last 2 months and to set up a standing order to pay her. As far as me and my Partner were concerned we had paid in full since moving in into the account we were specified to.
It turns out they had given me somebody else's details altogether and we had been paying somebody that neither I nor Blundell's knew. They tried to get out of it by suggesting I had entered the details wrong, but thankfully we kept all of the paperwork they had provided us with as proof.
Every phone call was met with the worst customer service I have ever received, and I'm not a particularly hard to please person either (all I wanted was honesty). They never returned phone calls they said they would, and they had the gall to tell my landlady that I had not rung them to discuss despite me having 6 phone conversations with them that day. Almost every call myself and my landlady had with them was met with Oh, we were just about to ring you. Now, this starts to sound a little bit disingenuous by about the 4th call on the same day.
So far we have only got half of our money back, and they are taking no responsibility for it. I can only assume that they think that if they bury their heads in the sand and hope it goes away, it will.
Unfortunately not as I have reported them to the information commissioners office for a serious breach of data security after seeking legal advice, and the property ombudsman service.
Please seek another estate agent if you value your personal information security staying secure. If they gave us someone else's bank details, imagine what else could be leaked.
For the length of time this company has been in business, I would have expected brilliant customer service, and for them to learn from mistakes. It does not take this length of time to rectify bad customer service for the size of the company.
Absolute amateurs.

£450. Is that good for the terrible service I've received? I dunno.
Thankfully they can't charge people for letting fees anymore.
