This review refers to the sale of two properties 79 and 137 Rothesay Gardens WV4 6DD. Overall we are satisfied with the service that resulted in successful sales one very close to, the other acceptably within range of the asking prices. Both properties received acceptable offers very shortly after being put on the market. There were two elements of poor communication, where a timely phone call could have avoided confusion and complication, both in relation to the sale of 79. One in relation to the arrangements with putting it on the market initially, and getting access for the photographer, where the impression we had gained from the tenant, was different from the experience of Reed Rains staff on making contact. The other in relation to communication between solicitors nearing the completion, where our solicitor was giving the impression of being blamed for the slow process of the managing agent in passing on information about insurance.
Comment on agent fees
Very good, low fees (the main deciding factor), which was clearly not a reflection of a weak market penetration.
