I am student at Newcastle University looking for 6 bedroom houses. Yesterday, I and 2 of my friends booked some house viewings with Foster Maddison, much to my regret. The woman did not have the keys to show us all the rooms in the first house and did not know where the other houses were, resulting in us walking up and down aimlessly in the cold.
One of the houses we liked and so booked a second viewing the next day (today), to show the rest of the girls and decided we would sign the contract afterwards. We were told another group of girls were also interested in the house and that we would join them on their viewing at 4:45. We arrived there at 4:35 and the other group awkwardly joined us at 4:40. Alex pulled up at 4:45 and said he would show round the other group first, whilst we stood out in the freezing cold. Why they couldn't book us at different times I do not know.
When the group came out at 4:55, Alex said 'see you later' to the girls while they smirked at us and walked off. We then proceeded into the house where Alex said he had to rush us as he had to be back to the office by 5pm. So what sort of estate agent is that? Let us take our time, or book us in a different time? We then asked if we could sign our contract and sign the application and he said he would take us to the office with him. Surprise, surprise, the girls were in there signing the contract. Alex acts surprised to see them even though he knew full well that was where they were going. Thanks for the false hope Alex.
Overall, absolutely awful costumer service.

So we went home very angry, not about the fact we lost the house but about the money-hungry estate agency and the faces of the very smug girls.
