Pointview Estates opened two electricity accounts in my name without authorisation. One was for power used from December 2015 when I didn't sign a lease until March 2016. That company was NOT the registered supplier of power to the property at any time during my tenancy. Continually fobbed off with excuses in contacting Pointview Estates to resolve this amicably, it took emails to the CEO of that power company for them to rescind their bills. Pointview Estates then claimed to the Council that I was resident in the property when they had leased it to someone else after I had moved.

British Gas have confirmed today that the new tenant moved in on 14th September and supplied them with a meter reading on that date which matched my own reading from 29th August. Are you still going to claim that your statement of September 30th to the Council for my move out date was correct, or even your claim that I was only charged to end of tenancy?

As a result of your actions, the aggravation caused isn't in the past, it's current and continues.

This is all fully down to yourselves and has nothing to do with any third parties.

Mark.

Further to your claim about a third party installing equipment at the time;
1. They installed it in December 2015, the date your company tried to have me charged for power from. I moved in the following March.
2. They were never the supplier of record to that address during my occupation, and Pointview Estates gave them my personal information to set up that account and have me charged from December when they were in the process of modifying the property into "studios".
3. No one from Pointview Estates would respond to phone messages or emails, and you yourself stated the person responsible for that would contact me.

Now I'm being billed by British Gas for power used after I closed my account, supplied them with meter readings, and moved out. I left no outstanding bill. The power is for AFTER I moved out with yet another account set up by Pointview Estates in my name, without permission when someone else is living on the property.

"Regarding your complaint about the electricity, please note that at the time this property was in the process of having a new power supply installed. This was a process undertaken not by us but rather by a third party company."

Not correct. Account opened 2 months after move in by a representative of Pointview Estates. Even if claim made was true, Pointview Estates is responsible for all contractors they use, and responsible then for supplying my personal details to that contractor, which is a breach of the Data Protection Act.

"Regarding your claim about the rent, we can confirm that you were only charged until the end of your tenancy."

Incorrect also. You had a new tenant in place yet stated to the Council that I was still living there.
