I consider JG the least professional and least transparent agent I have dealt with in the past.
In particular, JG
- makes the check-in of the property without the tenants being present and then demands that the tenants hand in the new/revised inventory in their branch without acknowledging in writing its receipt. Ultimately, there is no proof that the tenants handed in a revised inventory in case JG lost it.
- They remove/add items to the property during the tenancy and do not update the records, which means that a tenant might be liable for items that were removed. In particular, I was accused by the agent of being responsible for an item in the house which in reality has been replaced by another piece of furniture during the tenancy.
- They charge whatever they want in cleaning at the check-out without specifying what they are charging for. I requested an itemization of the bill and they refused to give it.
- They suggest conducting a house visit a week before the tenancy terminates because their different services do not update information in relation to check-out, etc.
A very poor service that needs to be improved if the company wants to survive! I would never work with them in the future!

Were you a Uttoxeter or Ashbourne tenant?
Would you email me with your details so that I can look into this for you; you are allowed to have a copy of the invoices with regards to any cleaning/damage that is to be deducted from your deposit. We also also endeavour to visit the property for the check out on the day the tenancy expires unless this falls on a sunday or bank holiday, and then we will agree a date as close to the end date as possible.
